Nissan has decided to test the waters of the never-before-explored, super-CUV market with a brand-new concept, which mixes the iconic JUKE shape with sportier GT-R details, and perhaps more important -peppered performance. If ever produced, it will send shivers up your spine, and leave passersby with their jaws dropped to their feet.

At first glance, you'll notice Nissan has adapted the iconic JUKE body via the addition of flared wheel arches, re-sculpted front and rear bumpers, and a signature split rear wing. Enter the Nissan JUKE-R and you'll be surrounded by a myriad of design, entertainment and connectivity features, including everything from the addition of a  motorcycle-fuel-tank-inspired center console to a seven-inch customizable LCD screen.

Beneath the hood? A 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V6 transplanted directly from the Nissan GT-R super car. To complement the raging power, the JUKE-R concept also gains a modified GT-R four-wheel-drive driveline and prop shaft...Of course, it's also tricked out with a suit of safety features - even a FIA-tested roll cage and five-point harness seat belts.

Why did Nissan chose the JUKE as the CUV to merge with the feisty GT-R? According to Paul Willcox, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, Nissan (Europe Market), "The Nissan JUKE is one of the most exciting cars on the market today. Its bold crossover design has captured the imaginations of car buyers all over Europe; after just a decade on sale, we are celebrating sales of more than 100,000 units."¹
