Nissan LEAF EV Now Available In New States

The 2011 Nissan LEAF was only available in a few states and was so popular that the car had a long waiting list many signed up for.

2012's edition will head to Norris Nissan West in Ellicott City, MD as well as various other dealers who will be privy to the electric car.

As the world's first mass produced all-electric car, LEAF has attracted attention from eco-car lovers and auto critics alike since its introduction. A new blog, NissanLEAFDrivers.com, will feature content from 14 LEAF owners, sharing personal experiences of owning an electric car.

"Consumers have spoken, and it's clear that they are looking for a car that produces zero emissions and uses no gas," said Brian Carolin, senior VP of Sales and Marketing at Nissan North America. "We are seeing tremendous consumer interest in the Nissan LEAF in these new markets, particularly in the New York metropolitan area."1

Orders for LEAF began in Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York. Deliveries of LEAF, with additional standard equipment including quick charging, will take its place in these key markets by December.
